Mr. Scooter is a storyteller, rapper and children’s librarian from Wilmington, North Carolina. He has released two children’s albums as Melvil Dewey – International Library Hip Hop Superstar and is the creator of Book Wrangler and Rap Battle of the Books. Mr. Scooter is a Library Journal Mover and Shaker Innovator and NACO Award winner. His work has been featured in School Library Journal and VOYA Magazine.
Broccoli Brothers Circus is a family-friendly performance group in Wilmington, North Carolina that features original music, puppetry, and multimedia art. The group includes Mark Herbert, Dave Hervey, Harry Paterson, and other rotating band members. They perform at child-oriented festivals and charity events across the Cape Fear region.
Bright Star Touring Theatre's The Wizard of Oz is a two-actor, 45-minute adaptation of L. Frank Baum's 1900 children's novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz. In 2018, Bright Star adapted the show into a two-person play, which was a hit.
